10 Works, 5 Artists and Many Mentors in 1 Package

As we prepare to ship 10 works by the Art Partners off to an exhibition in Perth, something in this wondrous package is immediately evident: all five of the participating artists have had the opportunity to work with more than one mentor.  Everyone in the last year or so has benefitted from multiple artistic influences.

We’d thought we’d take this opportunity to preview the 10 works by the five artists before they’re packaged up and shipped to the As We Are Art Award and Exhibition which opens in central Perth on November 1. Continue reading

Dan and the South West Artists: A Visual Journey

Back in 2013, the Art Partners team was mulling over the ideal mentor for Daniel (Dan) Marinovich.  We zeroed in on Edy Rees who has been with Art Partners since the inception of the program in 2011.

The only setback was that Edy was on holiday, and therefore wasn’t available to begin a mainstream class with Dan.

We brainstormed a bit more, and focused on how we could bridge the gap for Dan while we waited for Edy to touch down in Bunbury. Continue reading

A Tale of 9 Beautiful Works and 4 Awards

The Art Partners were out in force in Perth on Saturday evening at the opening of the As We Are Art Award & Exhibition in the foyer of the Central Park Building on St. Georges Terrace.    A total of nine carefully selected works by five participants had been shipped north from Bunbury to be included in the 159 exhibited.  The artists, who were able to make the trip to Perth, attended with support from their families or the Art Partners team.
